A-Level Automotive Technician

Busy Independent Repair Shop | Full-Time: 8am-5pm Mon-Fri No Weekends | Up to $45/Hour

Are you an experienced automotive technician looking for a shop where your skills are valued, the work stays consistent, and you can build a long-term career?

We are a busy, established independent automotive repair shop looking for an experienced A-Level Automotive Technician to join our team.

We are looking for a true diagnostic and repair technician—not someone who only performs basic maintenance. If you are confident diagnosing difficult problems, handling major repairs, and taking a vehicle from diagnosis through completed repair, we want to talk with you.

What You'll Do:

-Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns
-Perform engine, cooling system, steering, suspension, brake, HVAC, and electrical repairs
-Use scan tools, wiring diagrams, testing equipment, and service information to accurately diagnose vehicles
-Perform routine maintenance and preventative services when needed
-Complete repairs correctly and efficiently
-Clearly document diagnostic findings and recommended repairs
-Perform quality-control checks before vehicles are returned to customers
-Assist and mentor junior technicians when appropriate
-Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area

What We're Looking For:
-5+ years of professional automotive repair experience preferred
-Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting ability
-Experience performing major mechanical repairs
-ASE certifications strongly preferred
-Virginia State Inspection License is a major plus
-Factory/dealership training or certifications are a plus
-Valid driver's license
-Own professional automotive tools
-Dependable, professional, and able to work as part of a team

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who takes pride in fixing vehicles correctly the first time.

Compensation

Up to $45/hour depending on experience, certifications, skill level, and production

Experienced technicians with strong diagnostic skills and proven production will be compensated accordingly.
