Southern Dropcloth Painting is currently hiring EXPERIENCED professional painters with a minimum of 3 years of professional painting experience.

Residential repaint experience is required. This is NOT an entry-level or training position.

We are looking for experienced painters who can step onto a professional residential repaint and contribute immediately with minimal supervision.

We are a growing professional painting company specializing in residential repaints and light commercial work throughout Covington, Mandeville, and the surrounding Northshore areas.

We take craftsmanship and customer service seriously. Our painters work in our customers' homes, often around their furniture, belongings, landscaping, and existing finishes. We are looking for professionals who understand that quality, preparation, cleanliness, and respect for the customer's property matter just as much as putting paint on the wall.

🎯 WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Minimum 3 years of professional painting experience required.

Strong residential repaint experience required.

This position is for an experienced painter — not someone looking to learn the trade from the beginning.

We're looking for well-rounded residential painters with experience in:

• Residential repaints — including working professionally in occupied and furnished homes
• Interior and exterior painting

• Professional brush and roller work
• Clean, straight cut lines and quality finish work

• Proper surface preparation — sanding, scraping, caulking, filling, spot priming, and preparing previously painted surfaces
• Drywall repairs and patching — including larger holes, tape and float, sanding, and matching common textures such as light orange peel

• Proper masking and protection of floors, furniture, fixtures, windows, landscaping, and customers' belongings
• Airless spraying experience

• Cabinet and fine-finish spraying experience is a MAJOR PLUS
• Maintaining a clean, organized jobsite throughout the project

• Professional cleanup and leaving the customer's home in excellent condition

You should be able to look at a residential repaint, understand what needs to be done, properly prepare the surfaces, and perform quality work without having to be taught the basics of the painting trade.
