Home Inspector

Description

Successful, fast growing home inspection firm is seeking eager and willing candidates who want to join my team.

My company has a reputation for being very thorough and is very popular with our clients and the realtors that we work with.

A good candidate would be someone that would be willing to learn to trade. Experience in the trades is helpful, but not required to be a successful home inspector.

This job offers the best of both worlds. You get to be outside and get a lot of great exercise moving around, and you also get to stretch your mind when you are sitting at your computer writing the reports.

Some of the necessary traits required are an attention to detail, the ability and willingness to work independently, great time management skills, and the ability to talk to just about any type of personality.

The candidate should be able to write inspection reports, although after 18 years in the business, my inspection firm has the majority of items covered in my software. But you still need to be able to proof the reports, and send them out to the clients in a timely manner.

This is an expanding and growing trade. We are experiencing the fastest growth I’ve seen in 18 years.

This trade will never be replaced by robots or artificial intelligence. People will always need another person to walk them through the home and talk to them about the items that were found during a home inspection.

In an attempt to weed out the serious candidates, I just want to emphasize that this is a difficult job. You have to learn about every aspect of a home.

You also have to be able to communicate with people. You have to be able to write reports. And you have to be comfortable working in tight spaces like attics and crawlspaces.

Although this is not a physically demanding job, you will end up pretty tired at the end of the day if you do two inspections a day.

But on the flipside, this is a very rewarding career. You are helping people make a decision about the most expensive purchase they will ever make in their lifetime.

Again, serious candidates only. I have not had a day off since March. So don’t waste my time.

Also, if you are already a licensed Home Inspector working for another firm, and you wanna make more money, this is the place to be.
