We are seeking a reliable, dedicated animal professional looking for a long-term career home to take over a core, stable daily route servicing the Corte Madera / Mill Valley area, with clear opportunities to step into leadership roles as we grow.

Who We Are Looking For:

While professional dog walking experience is a plus, we actively welcome individuals with backgrounds in adjacent animal care industries who possess exceptional handling skills and want a stable environment to build a career. This position is a perfect fit for:

Veterinary Technicians / Vet Assistants looking for an active outdoor career away from clinical burnout.
Equestrian / Barn Professionals used to rigorous outdoor schedules, physical routines, and managing large animals safely.
Animal Shelter Workers / Canine Trainers / Dog Boarding highly skilled in behavior assessment, pack dynamics, and handling reactive animals.

The Role & Responsibilities:

Route Management: Safely transport and manage a consistent daily schedule of mid size pack across three blocks in Mill Valley.

Safety & Control: Maintain absolute control over the pack, ensuring proper leash handling, safety protocols, and positive behavior management at all times.

Logistics & Reliability: Maintain a tight, predictable 8-hour daily schedule, keeping punctuality and client home security top of mind.

Team Synergy: Work briefly with our senior team lead for a smooth routing and client introduction phase, then manage your route both with a team and independently.

Position Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of professional animal handling experience (e.g., veterinary clinic, horse stable, dog training facility, animal shelter, or commercial pet care).
Skills: Strong working knowledge of canine body language, pack dynamics, and physical management of animals.
Location: Must live within a reasonable, reliable commuting distance to Central or Southern Marin County (San Rafael, Larkspur, Corte Madera, Sausalito, etc.).
Driving: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a completely clean driving record to safely operate our company vehicle during work hours.
Screening: Must be willing to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check.

Compensation & Financial Perks:

Base Hourly Pay: $21.00 – $25.00 / hour (starting rate dependent upon professional animal experience).
Client Tips: Subtantial tipping, pooled and divided by route, length of time / month in consistent, regular client tips.
Performance Bonuses: Eligible for quarterly profit-sharing bonuses can be discussed per interview (disbursed following the successful completion of the initial trial and training period).
