A&P Aircraft Mechanic

Description

A&P Aircraft Mechanic – General Aviation – Lincoln, CA

**Compensation:** $34–$42/hour depending on experience, A&P certification, and demonstrated ability. Performance/job-completion bonuses may also be available.

**Employment:** Full-time preferred; part-time may be considered for the right person.

**Location:** Lincoln Regional Airport (KLHM), Lincoln, CA

I’m looking for an A&P mechanic—or someone close to completing their A&P—to join a growing general aviation maintenance operation at Lincoln Regional Airport.

We work on a broad mix of aircraft, including Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, King Air, and other piston and turbine aircraft. The work includes annual and 100-hour inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, engine and systems work, alterations, and general aircraft maintenance.

This is a small, hands-on shop, not a production-line maintenance operation. You’ll work directly alongside an experienced A&P/IA and get exposure to a wide variety of aircraft and maintenance instead of doing the same task every day.

For someone early in their career, this is an opportunity to build real-world experience quickly. For an experienced mechanic, there is room to work independently, take ownership of jobs, and grow into greater responsibility as the business expands.

**What I’m Looking For**

  • FAA A&P certificate, or actively preparing to test within the next few months
  • Dependable and motivated
  • Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Able to follow maintenance data and document work properly
  • Comfortable taking direction but capable of becoming increasingly independent
  • Takes pride in doing clean, safe, professional work
  • Interested in general aviation and developing broad aircraft maintenance skills
  • Looking for a position with long-term potential
**Compensation**

  • Near-A&P / limited aircraft maintenance experience: approximately $34–$37/hour
  • Newly certificated or capable A&P: approximately $38–$40/hour
  • Experienced A&P capable of independently completing work: up to $42/hour initially
  • Additional raises and performance/job-completion bonuses based on demonstrated ability and productivity
Traditional benefits such as employer-paid health insurance and a retirement plan are not currently offered, so compensation is structured with that in mind.

If you’re a new A&P who wants to learn quickly, or an experienced mechanic who prefers a smaller shop where your work actually matters, send a brief description of your experience, current certification status, and availability.
