APARTMENT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISORS
Apartment Maintenance Supervisor
Description
We are looking for experienced Apartment Maintenance Supervisors for opportunities throughout the Phoenix metro area.
This is a supervisor position. We’re looking for people who have actually led an apartment maintenance operation, not someone looking to move into their first maintenance leadership role.
You should be able to walk onto a property, understand what needs to be done, prioritize the workload and keep the maintenance operation moving.
That means being able to lead the team while still being willing and able to get your hands dirty when needed.
You should have strong experience with:
- Managing daily maintenance operations
- Supervising and directing maintenance technicians, porters and vendors
- Prioritizing work orders and apartment turns
- HVAC diagnosis and repair
- Plumbing and electrical troubleshooting
- Appliance repair
- Preventative maintenance programs
- Make-readies and turn scheduling
- Property inspections
- Inventory, parts and maintenance supplies
- Vendor coordination
- Pool and common-area maintenance
- On-call and emergency maintenance
- Communicating with property management regarding maintenance issues, turns and priorities
You need to be able to manage the workload, communicate with management, hold your team accountable and make sure residents aren’t waiting unnecessarily for maintenance issues to be handled.
You must have:
- Previous apartment Maintenance Supervisor or strong Lead Technician experience
- Strong hands-on apartment maintenance knowledge
- HVAC troubleshooting experience
- Your own maintenance tools
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license
- Working phone and reliable communication
- Clean criminal background
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Strong and reliable attendance
Pay: Starting around $26-$28hr and may vary depending on experience, certifications and the position.
Most schedules are Monday through Friday, typically 7–4 or 8–5. Supervisor positions will commonly include an on-call rotation and may require after-hours emergency response.
We have temporary, long-term temporary and temp-to-hire opportunities.
A few things you need to understand before applying:
Our opportunities are at apartment communities throughout the Valley. We do not control where every opening is located. The more flexible you are with your commute, the more opportunities we can offer you.
We’re going to ask specific questions about your experience.
If you say you know HVAC, we’re going to ask what you’ve diagnosed and repaired.
If you say you’ve supervised a maintenance team, we’re going to ask about the size of the team, the property and what you were actually responsible for.
A title on a resume isn’t enough. We need to know you can actually run the maintenance side of an apartment community.
If you accept an assignment, we expect you to show up, communicate and lead professionally. Repeated call-outs, last-minute cancellations or poor communication will affect whether we contact you for future opportunities.
If you know your trade, lead well and get strong feedback from the property, we’ll work hard to keep opportunities in front of you.
Our process is simple:
Send us your resume with your apartment maintenance and leadership experience.
We’ll complete a phone screening, run the required background process and get qualified supervisors in front of properties quickly.
No unnecessary trip across town just to sit in our office for an interview. You prove yourself by doing the work.
When responding, please include:
- Years of apartment maintenance experience
- Years of Maintenance Supervisor or Lead Technician experience
- Size of properties you’ve worked at
- Size of maintenance teams you’ve supervised
- Your HVAC experience and what you can diagnose/repair yourself
- EPA/HVAC/pool certifications
- What part of the Valley you live in
- Whether you have reliable transportation
- Whether you have your own tools
