Apartment Maintenance Technician / Lead Maintenance Technician

American Equity Properties is seeking two full-time maintenance team members for a 144-unit apartment community in Dallas, TX — a Lead Maintenance Technician and an Assistant Maintenance/Make Ready Technician. Lead Maintenance Technician – Key Requirements
5+ years of apartment/multifamily maintenance experience preferred
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently
Prior experience leading or mentoring maintenance staff preferred
Ability to prioritize work orders and manage multiple projects
Strong communication and customer service skills
EPA Certification required
Reliable transportation and basic tools required

Assistant Maintenance / Make Ready Technician – Key Requirements
1–3+ years maintenance experience preferred
Experience with apartment turns/make-ready units preferred
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry
Ability to complete assigned work orders and repairs
Willingness to learn and grow maintenance skills
Reliable transportation and basic tools required
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
Good communication and teamwork skills
EPA certification preferred.
