Apprentice Level Electrical Sign Installer

Meyer Sign Company of Oregon, Inc. (Tigard / SW Portland, Oregon) has a current opening for an apprentice-level electrical sign installer.

You do NOT need to have previous sign installation experience to be considered for the position. We are looking for someone who is “handy,” someone who has basic construction-type knowledge who is looking for a career and not just a job.

Qualified candidates will need to enroll in the Oregon JATC Sign Installer Apprenticeship Program. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with at least one year of high school or college algebra (with a minimum “C” average), a working knowledge of hand tools, tape measurer, etc., the ability to pass a drug screening test, a valid and insurable driver’s license within Oregon and Washington, ability to drive a manual (stick-shift) transmission and a desire to learn a trade that can keep you gainfully employed your entire working career.

We offer a very competitive wage and benefits package including a company matching retirement plan, medical and dental package, vacation and sick-pay, etc. Starting wage is approximately $31.00 per hour (based on the Oregon JATC Sign Installer program) with bi-annual increases as you progress through the program.
