Apprentice Luthier / String Instrument Technician

Fiddlershop is looking for a skilled woodworker or carpenter to join our instrument workshop team as an Apprentice Luthier. In this role, you’ll receive hands-on training to perform setups and repairs on a wide range of bowed string instruments, including violins, violas, cellos, and double basses.
As one of the leading providers of bowed string instruments and accessories in the U.S., Fiddlershop offers a collaborative and creative environment. Our workshop, warehouse, showroom, and offices are all located in Pompano Beach, Florida (about 30-40 minutes north of Miami).
Responsibilities

• Perform instrument setups following Fiddlershop’s quality setup process
• Conduct quality control inspections in accordance with company standards
• Assist with instrument repairs and maintenance
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure a smooth workflow

Qualifications

• Reliable, self-motivated individual who enjoys working with their hands
• Background in woodworking or carpentry
• Ability to play a violin family instrument is a plus, but not required
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and make decisions in uncertain situations
• Excellent time management, professionalism, and punctuality
• Fluency in English is preferred
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (Green Card/DHS Authorization)
