IMMEDIATE HIRE – ARCHITECTURAL METAL & GLASS INSTALLER – NYC PROJECTS
We are seeking experienced Architectural Metal & Glass Installers to join our field installation team for commercial projects throughout New York City and the NY Metro Area.
This is a hands-on field position for installers with experience working with architectural metal, glass, glazing, signage, ornamental/miscellaneous metals, or similar specialty construction installations.
Candidates must be comfortable working on active construction sites, following drawings and installation instructions, coordinating with Site Supervisors and Project Managers, and traveling between project locations as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform installation of architectural metal, glass, signage, and specialty fabricated components
- Install architectural and miscellaneous metal components, including railings, panels, frames, canopies, trim, and related assemblies
- Assist with glass, glazing, storefront, and other architectural installation work as required
- Read and follow shop drawings, architectural drawings, installation details, and field instructions
- Take and verify field measurements prior to and during installation
- Properly position, align, level, anchor, fasten, and secure installed components
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, drills, grinders, saws, and other installation equipment
- Assist with loading, unloading, staging, handling, and protecting materials at project sites
- Coordinate daily with Site Supervisors, Foremen, Project Managers, and other installers
- Follow project schedules and complete assigned installation work efficiently
- Identify field conditions or installation problems and immediately communicate them to the Site Supervisor/Project Manager
- Maintain high standards for fit, finish, alignment, appearance, and workmanship
- Follow all project-specific and company safety requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work cooperatively with General Contractors, other trades, union personnel, subcontractors, and project-site representatives
- Provide photographs, measurements, and other field information when requested
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous hands-on experience in architectural metal, glass, glazing, ironwork, signage, miscellaneous metals, ornamental metals, structural metal, storefront, curtain wall, or related installation work
- Commercial construction/site installation experience
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings, architectural drawings, measurements, and installation details
- Experience using construction hand tools and power tools
- Ability to accurately measure, level, align, drill, anchor, fasten, and install components
- Strong understanding of job-site safety practices
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of an installation crew
- Reliable, punctual, and able to report to different project locations as scheduled
- Comfortable communicating with supervisors and remote project teams using phone, email, photographs, and other digital tools when required
- Must be physically capable of performing field installation work
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working on New York City commercial construction projects
- Architectural metal and glass installation experience
- Experience with storefronts, glazing systems, railings, stairs, canopies, panels, signage, decorative/ornamental metals, and miscellaneous metal installations
- Union and/or non-union construction experience
- OSHA and/or NYC SST training/certifications
- Welding/fabrication experience is a plus

This is a FIELD POSITION and is not remote.
Frequent travel between NYC/NY Metro Area project sites is required.
