Shop Lead / foreman
Description
Shop Size: 5,000 sq. ft. custom facility
Positions Available: Full-Time Lead & Full-Time Intermediate
About Us
Founded and operated by a master cabinet maker with over 40 years of experience in ultra-high-end architectural millwork, we specialize in premium built-in casework, flawless wall paneling, and custom passage doors. We have an extensive backlog of premium projects, a brand-new 5,000-square-foot facility, and a shop floor outfitted entirely with pristine, late-model, high-precision machinery.
We don’t cut corners, we don’t rush the details, and we believe in paying talent exactly what they are worth. We are currently looking for two distinct professionals to join our growing team.
The Shop & Equipment
Our facility is optimized for clean, efficient, and precise production, featuring a premium lineup of perfectly maintained machinery:
Martin Sliding Table Saw
Holz-Her Evolution CNC Machine
Holz-Her Sector Vertical Panel Saw
Holz-Her Edgebander
POSITION 1: Lead Cabinet Maker / Millworker
Compensation: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour (Based on experience)
The Profile: A seasoned professional who brings a high level of execution that only comes from years of high-end experience combined with discipline, patience, and a commitment to quality.
The Skillset: Ability to work completely independently from complex architectural blueprints, manage a project from raw material to finished product, handle complex joinery/veneering, and safely operate/program late-model CNC and high-end machinery.
The Standard: Absolute reliability. You will help maintain shop workflow and ensure the highest standards of quality control on the floor.
POSITION 2: Intermediate Cabinet Maker / Bench Carpenter
Compensation: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour (Based on experience)
The Profile: You have a solid foundation in the trade, respect the craft, and have the discipline and patience required for high-end work. You are ready to elevate your skills by working alongside an industry veteran.
The Skillset: Confident operating standard shop machinery, assembling casework, prepping components, and sanding/finishing prep. You must be able to accurately read a tape measure, follow shop drawings, and take direction well.
The Standard: A strong work ethic, a sharp eye for detail, and a desire to learn the right way to do things without cutting corners.
Compensation & Benefits (Both Positions)
Future Benefits Path: As the new shop scales, we are committed to implementing a structured benefits package for our core team, including:
Minimum 5 paid days off (introduced down the line)
1 week of paid vacation after 1 year of service
Future transition into company-backed health insurance
Hiring Process: The Paid Bench Trial
We pay at the top of the market because we expect top-of-the-market execution. To ensure a good fit for both sides, qualified candidates for both positions will be invited to the shop for a paid, 4-hour working bench trial. You will get a chance to see the facility, look over our projects, and demonstrate your current skill level firsthand.
To Apply
If you have the discipline, the talent, and the reliability to match our standards, we want to talk to you. Please reply indicating which position you are applying for (Lead or Intermediate), along with your resume/work history, and photos of your recent work if available.
