Hourly Pay Range: $24.00 - $28.00

Nexus Talent Solutions is partnering with a well-established materials and production operation seeking a hands-on **Asphalt Plant Maintenance Technician to support plant operations through both preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.

This role works closely with plant leadership to identify, prioritize, and execute maintenance tasks while ensuring safe and efficient plant performance. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote and uphold a strong safety culture; act as a visible safety advocate on-site
Provide emergency maintenance support and be available for on-call repairs as needed
Perform routine preventative maintenance based on equipment run hours
Inspect, repair, and replace components such as blow bars, wear plates, belts, and screens
Coordinate daily with plant leadership to prioritize repair schedules and maintenance needs
Communicate with plant operators to identify issues and ensure timely resolution
Maintain accurate parts inventory records, including tracking usage and forecasting needs
Assist with winter maintenance and off-season equipment repairs
Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and recommend process improvements
Rebuild and refurbish plant equipment including motors, gearboxes, pulleys, and bearings
Perform light fabrication work including chutes, guards, and custom components
Support team development by sharing knowledge and mentoring less experienced team members

Qualifications:

Experience in industrial, mechanical, or plant maintenance preferred
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Comfortable working in outdoor and production environments
Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to safety and detail
