Attic Pull-Down Door Won’t Close – Handyman/Carpenter Needed

I am looking for an experienced handyman or carpenter to repair an attic pull-down/stair door in our NYC townhouse.

The attic door and stairs are already installed, but the door will no longer close completely. I need someone who has experience repairing and adjusting attic doors, folding attic stairs, springs, hinges, or latches.

The job:

Inspect the attic door and determine why it will not close

Adjust or repair the existing mechanism
Replace springs, hinges, hardware, or add a secure latch if necessary
Get the door to close tightly and safely

This should be a relatively small job for someone familiar with attic stair/door systems.
