X3 is hiring experienced Commercial Low Voltage, Audio Visual (AV), and Security Technicians (Levels I, II, and III) for long-term projects throughout the Greater Austin area and surrounding cities. Whether you specialize in high-end corporate AV systems, complex commercial access control, or both, we have immediate openings for motivated technicians ready to work. MUST HAPS / REQUIREMENT NOTE: All candidates must be able to pass a 7-year clean background check, a drug screen, and possess an OSHA 10 or 30 certification.

What You Will Do

• Cabling and Infrastructure: Pull, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber, speaker wire, HDMI). Install equipment racks and panels.
• AV Systems: Install, program, and troubleshoot commercial AV systems (displays, projectors, sound masking, smart boardrooms, microphones).
• Security and Access Control: Install, wire, and commission access control devices (card readers, mag locks, electric strikes), CCTV/IP cameras, and intrusion alarm systems.
• Blueprints and Tech: Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and system drawings
• Leadership (Level III): Lead field crews, oversee complex integrations, coordinate with project teams, and mentor junior techs.

• 2+ years of commercial low-voltage, AV, or electronic security experience.
• Preferred System Experience (Any of the following is a huge plus): Crestron, Axis, LenelS2, Genetec, Software House CCURE, Avigilon, Bosch, Milestone, Brivo, Openpath, Honeywell, or Gallagher.
• 18+ and eligible to work in the U.S. (E-Verify)
• Manufacturer, ESA/NTS certifications, or state low-voltage licenses are highly preferred.
