Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and restoring vehicle bodies to their original condition after damage. This role requires proficiency in body repair techniques, an eye for detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect vehicles to assess damage and determine the extent of structural, body, or mechanical repairs required.
Remove damaged body parts and components including bumpers, fenders, hoods, grilles, and trim.
Repair dents, and fill small holes and depressions.
Sand and smooth surfaces in preparation for painting; mask and tape body surfaces.
Install replacement parts using hand and power tools, welding equipment, or rivet guns.
Align body panels to match manufacturer specifications.
Work with paint technicians to ensure surfaces are properly prepped for refinishing.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tools, equipment, and repair techniques.
Complete work orders and documentation as required.
Light Mechanical, tire changes, oil changes, brakes, suspension anything damaged in accident.
Qualifications:
Valid Drivers Licenses
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred.
2+ years of experience in auto body repair or a related field.
I-CAR or ASE certification is a plus not necessary
Strong knowledge of body repair techniques and automotive systems.
Proficient with tools such as sanders, grinders, hydraulic jacks, and welding equipment.
Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Ability to lift heavy parts and work in a physically demanding environment.
Work Environment:
Primarily in a shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and hazardous materials.
Use of protective equipment (goggles, gloves, etc.) required.
