Auto Body Paint Prepper - Fix Auto Tacoma South

About the position

Here at Fix Auto Tacoma south, we are a busy, well-established auto body shop looking for a reliable and skilled Paint Prepper to join our crew. You will work directly with our painters to make sure every vehicle that goes into the booth is properly prepped and ready for a quality finish. What you'll be doing:
— Washing, sanding, and degreasing vehicle surfaces prior to paint
— Masking windows, trim, chrome, and other areas to protect from overspray
— Applying primer, sealer, and guide coat as directed
— Block sanding body panels to ensure smooth, even surfaces
— Mixing and thinning materials according to product specs
— Keeping the prep area clean, organized, and safe
— Maintaining shop equipment including spray guns, sanders, and air lines
— Communicating with painters and technicians on vehicle status

What we're looking for
— At least 1 year of auto body or paint prep experience
— Knowledge of wet sanding, DA sanding, and surface prep techniques
— Ability to work efficiently without cutting corners
— Dependable, shows up on time, and works well with a team
— Must have reliable transportation

Employment type:
— Full-time
— Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM
— Commission based
