Role Description
This full-time, on-site Automotive Body Technician role is based in Shoreline, WA. The Automotive Body Technician will inspect vehicles to assess collision damage, perform structural and cosmetic repairs, and restore vehicles to manufacturer specifications. Day-to-day tasks include disassembling damaged components, straightening frames and panels, replacing parts, and preparing surfaces for paint. The technician will work closely with painters and estimators, follow repair orders, and adhere to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities also include maintaining a clean work area, using appropriate tools and equipment, and documenting work performed in line with company procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Auto Body and Collision repair, including damage assessment and structural restoration.
- Experience with Paint preparation and refinishing processes for automotive surfaces.
- Proficiency in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for mechanical and cosmetic components.
- Ability to read and follow repair estimates, service manuals, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with body shop tools and equipment, including welders, sanders, and measuring systems.
- Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and high-quality workmanship.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with estimators, painters, and other technicians.
- Prior experience as an automotive body technician or related role; relevant certifications (I-CAR, ASE) are a plus
