We are seeking a highly skilled Auto Body Disassembly & Reassembly Technician to join our team. You will be the critical "first and last" step in the repair process. This role requires a meticulous professional who can tear down complex modern vehicles & rebuild them to factory specifications with zero defects.
Required Qualifications:
Full Disassembly: Systematic removal of bumpers, doors, interior trim, & mechanical components.
Blueprint Accuracy: Identifying hidden damage during teardown to ensure 100% accurate parts ordering.
Organization: Meticulous labeling & storage of all clips, bolts, and parts.
Final Reassembly: Precision installation of repaired or new panels and electronics.
Safety Systems: Handling sensitive sensors, ADAS components, & SRS systems.
Quality Control: Ensuring perfect panel gaps & functional testing of all replaced parts.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a high-production collision center. (Negotiable)
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of modern vehicle construction & fastener types.
Tooling: Must own a comprehensive set of professional-grade hand & power tools.
Efficiency: Proven ability to hit flat-rate hours while maintaining high quality.
Attention to Detail: Ability to spot one-time-use clips & damaged wiring harnesses immediately.

Job Title: Automotive Paint Prep Technician & Disassembly Specialist
Department: Collision Center / Paint Department
Reports to: Shop Manager / Lead Painter
We are looking for a detail-oriented Automotive Paint Prep Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces & individual parts for high-quality refinishing. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, as you will be tasked with disassembling & reassembling: Doors, trims, & body components to ensure a factory-quality paint job.
Required Qualifications:
Surface Preparation: Sand, mask, and prime vehicle panels & loose parts (bumpers, fenders, doors) according to industry standards.
Disassembly/Reassembly: Skillfully remove door handles, mirrors, moldings, weatherstripping, & interior panels to allow for "jambing" & seamless paint coverage.
Cleaning: Thoroughly de-grease and wax-remove all surfaces to prevent paint defects like "fish-eyes" or peeling.
Quality Control: Inspect surfaces for imperfections, pinholes, or uneven bodywork before the vehicle moves to the paint booth.
Organization: Maintain a clean workspace. Ensure all removed clips, screws, & hardware are labeled & stored safely.
Technical Skills: Proven experience in automotive disassembly (interior and exterior trim).
Attention to Detail: Ability to spot minor surface flaws that could effect the final finish.
Tools: Must own or be proficient with basic hand tools & pneumatic sanding equipment.
Reliability: Strong work ethic & are able to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a collision repair or custom paint shop preferred.
