Auto Body Tech / Mechanic

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, coachable Auto Body Technician who takes pride in quality work, follows process, and understands that consistency and accountability matter as much as technical skill.

This is an hourly position in a structured shop environment. Success in this role requires direct communication, documentation, and the ability to take direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete full vehicle disassembly to support a complete and accurate repair plan
• Identify and document all visible damage during teardown
• Follow written repair plans and shop SOPs exactly
• Document completed work (notes, photos, time tracking as required)
• Communicate progress and issues clearly and promptly
• Ask for clarification before proceeding when unsure
• Perform structural and cosmetic repairs to industry standards
• Maintain clean, organized work area and protect customer vehicles
• Assist with inspections and test drives as required
• Follow all safety and quality standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
• Ability to read and follow written repair orders
• Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and teammates
• Ability to work independently and follow structured processes
• Willingness to learn and accept feedback

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, lift (up to 50 lbs), and work with hand/power tools
• Exposure to shop noise, fumes, and varying temperatures

Compensation

• Hourly pay based on experience and reliability
• Raises are earned over time, based on attendance, quality, and consistency
• Performance bonuses may be available based on documented results
