FULL-TIME FLEET MECHANIC / AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

Town Taxi & VIP Coach has an immediate opening for an experienced, dependable full-time fleet mechanic. We operate a mixed fleet of sedans, minivans, and Ford Transit passenger vans and are looking for someone who can keep our vehicles safe, reliable, and ready for daily service.
This is a steady, year-round position with an established transportation company.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on light- and heavy-duty vehicles
Repair and service brakes, suspension, steering, electrical systems, HVAC systems, engines, and related components
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems accurately and efficiently
Use automotive diagnostic computers and scan tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems
Operate a Hunter wheel alignment machine and perform accurate wheel alignments
Track oil changes, inspections, and scheduled maintenance intervals
Identify developing problems before they lead to costly breakdowns
Maintain complete and accurate repair and service records for every vehicle
Coordinate parts and repair needs with management
Keep the shop, tools, and work areas clean, organized, and safe
Help ensure all fleet vehicles meet company and applicable safety requirements
Qualifications
At least 5 years of automotive and fleet maintenance experience
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and able to pass fingerprint and Criminal check
CDL is a plus but not required; willingness to obtain one is preferred
Must have tools
Dependable, organized, and able to work independently and with others
Must document all maintenance and repairs accurately
Ability to perform the physical duties associated with vehicle maintenance and repair
