AUTO MECHANIC – KODIAK ALASKA – $24-$35/HR + HOUSING + RELOCATION

RTS Auto in Kodiak is looking for an Automotive Technician / Mechanic to join our team. We're hiring both experienced diagnostic technicians and solid mechanics with 2–3+ years of hands-on experience who want to continue developing their skills.

Already living in Alaska? We'll help make the move to Kodiak easier.

$24–$35/hour depending on experience and ability
Monday–Friday, 9 AM–6 PM
Approximately 40 hours/week + overtime opportunities
Private room in a modern shared 2-bedroom apartment for $700/month
Heat and electricity included
$500 relocation assistance

IMPORTANT – THIS IS AN OUTDOOR MECHANIC POSITION

Please note that this is not a traditional indoor repair-shop position. Our technicians primarily work outdoors year-round.

We're looking for someone comfortable with general automotive repair, diagnostics, electrical work, gas and diesel vehicles, cars and light trucks, engines, transmissions, and troubleshooting.

ASE certification is not required. Skills, experience, dependability, and a willingness to learn matter more to us.

Applicants should have a valid driver's license and preferably their own automotive tools. RTS Auto also has shop tools available. This is a hands-on position that includes working outdoors in varying Kodiak weather and temperatures.
