Rain Defense, a premier Bay Area roofing and waterproofing company, is currently seeking an experienced and reliable Fleet Auto Mechanic. Our daily operations depend on a well-maintained fleet of trucks and vans (primarily Ford models). This role requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional dedicated to keeping our vehicles running safely and efficiently to minimize downtime for our crews.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on our fleet of company trucks and vans (primarily Ford vehicles).
Execute standard services including oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues efficiently to ensure vehicle safety and minimize fleet downtime.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date service and maintenance records for all vehicles.
Ensure the shop and yard areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid CA Driver’s License: A clean driving record and valid license are required to road-test and move fleet vehicles.
Experience: Proven professional experience as an auto mechanic. Experience specific to Ford fleet trucks/vans is highly preferred.
Tools: Must possess your own basic set of automotive tools.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, and perform the physical tasks associated with automotive repair.
Reliability: Dependable, punctual, and highly organized with a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Basic Requirements: 18+ years of age, authorized to work in the United States, and willing to complete a post‑offer background check.
Preferred Qualifications: ASE certifications or specialized experience with commercial fleet maintenance.

LO QUE HARÁ:
Realizar mantenimiento de rutina y preventivo en nuestra flota de camionetas y furgonetas de la empresa (principalmente vehículos Ford).
Ejecutar servicios estándar que incluyen cambios de aceite, inspecciones de frenos, rotación de llantas y revisión de fluidos.
Diagnosticar y reparar problemas mecánicos y eléctricos de manera eficiente para garantizar la seguridad del vehículo y minimizar el tiempo de inactividad de la flota.
Mantener registros de servicio y mantenimiento precisos y actualizados para todos los vehículos.
Asegurar que las áreas del taller y el patio se mantengan limpias, organizadas y cumplan con los estándares de seguridad.
REQUISITOS MÍNIMOS:
Licencia de Conducir Válida de CA: Se requiere un historial de manejo limpio y una licencia válida para probar en carretera y mover los vehículos de la flota.
Experiencia: Experiencia profesional comprobada como mecánico automotriz. Se prefiere altamente la experiencia específica con camionetas/furgonetas de flota Ford.
Herramientas: Debe poseer su propio juego básico de herramientas automotrices.
Resistencia Física: Capacidad para levantar hasta 50 libras, agacharse, arrodillarse, estar de pie durante períodos prolongados y realizar las tareas físicas asociadas con la reparación automotriz.
Confiabilidad: Confiable, puntual y altamente organizado con un fuerte compromiso con la seguridad en el lugar de trabajo.
