Auto mechanic/body tech or general car guy/girl

We are looking for a motivated person that knows motor-vehicles (mechanical and/or body work).

Paper qualifications are not mandatory, but you must prove that you are sufficiently experienced and capable regarding motor-vehicle repair etc.

Must be a self-starter and be able to trustfully work unsupervised.

Must have a positive attitude with a good ability to interact with walk in customers.

Relatively relaxed environment - we're a small shop that's busy but not stressfully hectic.

Requirements:

• Good automotive knowledge and repair skills a plus
• Good communication and good English language skills
• Decent computer skills
• Good organizational/time management ability
• Tidy appearance with respect for themselves
• A valid driver's license
• Your own reliable transport to and from the workplace
• Must provide a valid resume with relative work experience
• Previous employment references - we must be able to verify.

This job can be:

• Part time (20-30 hours p/week), or
• Full time (40 hours p/week), flexible within 7am - 6pm daily.

Job Description:

• Car & truck vehicle safety inspections (non-invasive) - set criteria (30 mins per check)
• Some (basic) mechanical repair. (details discussed with successful applicants for interview)
• Some data entry and system updating
• Customer interaction

From time to time some offsite work may be needed instead of shop attendance.

Benefits:

• Compensation $25-$35 p/hr. depending on your skill set, experience and qualifications.
• Paid Time Off (negotiable).
• Contractor status may be possible for the right candidate if employee status isn't suitable.
