Auto Repair & Diagnostic Technician Mechanic

Natomas Smog Shop & Auto Repair, a NAPA Auto Care Center, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Technician at Natomas Smog Shop & Auto Repair, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and performance.

Responsibilities:

Vehicle Diagnostics and Repairs: Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify automotive issues and perform necessary repairs efficiently and effectively.

Routine Maintenance: Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, meeting or exceeding industry and regulatory requirements.

Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of services performed, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings.

Customer Communication: Communicate with customers in a friendly and professional manner, explaining repair recommendations and providing cost estimates.

Equipment and Tools: Properly use and maintain automotive tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent; formal automotive training or certification is a plus.
Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Automotive Technician.

Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification is required.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

California Smog Inspector or Repair Technician License not required but a plus.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Physical stamina and agility to lift heavy parts and work in various positions under vehicles.
