Auto Salvage Yard – Packaging & Yard Helper

Pay: $16–$19 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

ABC Auto Wrecking is looking for an energetic, dependable, and hardworking person to join our team. This is an all-around position in a busy auto recycling yard. We need someone who is willing to work, stay productive, and help wherever needed.

Job Duties Include:

• Packaging automotive parts for shipping
• Cleaning and preparing parts before shipment
• Palletizing and securing larger parts, including engines, transmissions, doors, hoods, and other body parts
• Shrink-wrapping, strapping, and properly securing parts to pallets
• Gathering parts throughout the salvage yard
• Picking up parts that have already been removed from vehicles, including gas tanks, radios, alternators, starters, A/C compressors, instrument clusters, and other parts
• Pulling smaller automotive parts when needed, such as tail lights, mirrors, window regulators, and similar items
• Helping keep packaging, yard, and work areas clean and organized
• Assisting with other general yard duties as needed

Requirements:

• Must be dependable, responsible, energetic, and able to stay busy
• Safety is extremely important. Must follow all company safety procedures, use proper PPE, work safely around vehicles and heavy equipment, and maintain a clean and safe work area
• Must be able to lift at least 85 lbs.
• Must be comfortable walking long distances throughout the yard
• Must be able to work outside in the Arizona heat
• Must have your own basic tools for removing smaller automotive parts
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts is preferred
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Packaging, palletizing, warehouse, salvage yard, or automotive experience is also a plus
• Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Most of this position is outdoors and physically active, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working on their feet, working in the heat, and isn’t afraid of hard work.

Pay is $16–$19 per hour depending on experience.
