Autobody painters helper

Description

I’m looking for a highly skilled painters helper. Must be able to prep cars for paint, including long block to find imperfections, wet sand to prep for paint. Masking, colorsanding and buffing, minor bodywork would be a plus. I have a restoration shop in north Glendale at the moment but next month I’ll be moving to my permanent shop in historic downtown Phoenix. This is a very slow pace job, not a production shop. Quality is the top priority over speed. You have to be very confident in your work, this is not a learn as you go job. We’re building high six figure cars so I’m looking for a long term employee that I can ultimately trust with keys to the shop. Right now the job is Wednesday-Friday Saturdays are optional and they’re available if you want more hours. If we work well together and you’re a reliable employee, I will offer a full time position with a salary and if you’re interested, I can teach you all the steps in restoring a classic car from mig/tig welding, bodywork, hand shaping panels from scratch and anything you want to learn but for now, you have to be a seasoned painters helper. For the first month the job is Wednesday- Friday $20hr-$25hr with optional Saturdays. This is non negotiable so be aware of that before you apply. After 1 month we can talk about a raised based on how much you can do, I’m willing to pay much more but you have to learn my process first, the more you can do, the more I will pay you. This is not a corporate job, you can not come to work and try and hid from certain jobs or skills that I require for this position. My shop is very small and I would like to keep it that way. I’m not interested in growing a huge business and having 10 employees. I’m looking for 1 guy who wants to be a part of a business instead of a number.
