Canton Auto Service and Auto Body is looking for a body man and a painter skilled professional who repairs, restores, and refinishes vehicle bodies after they have been damaged in an accident or weathered over time. The painter is to do correct mix based on codes and refinish vehicles in a paint booth
🛠️ Core Job Responsibilities

• Panel Repair and Replacement: Removing severely dented or torn sections (like fenders, doors, and hoods) and installing new parts or hammering out minor dents.
• Denting and Filling: Using specialized tools like stud welders and body fillers (like Bondo) to smooth out uneven surfaces.
• Sanding and Prep: Shaving down rough areas and applying primer so the vehicle is perfectly smooth before it moves to the paint booth.
• Trim Work: Replacing and interior or exterior plastic trim pieces.

Painter will: • Perform complete paint applications, including color matching and mixing for a quality finish
Key Skills Required

• Technical Precision: Ability to use specialized welding equipment, plasma cutters, and precision measuring systems.
• Problem-Solving: Diagnosing hidden structural damage that might not be visible on the surface.
• Physical Stamina: The job requires lifting heavy parts, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring that replacement panels align perfectly with the original body lines of the vehicle.
