Position Overview:
Electronic Hub is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented full-time/part-time Automotive 12V Technician to specialize in the installation, calibration, and servicing of ignition interlock devices (IIDs) and related automotive electronics.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and multi-meter testing. If you take pride in clean wiring, precision execution, and professional customer service, we want to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities
Device Installation: Perform clean, secure, and professional installations of ignition interlock systems across a wide range of vehicle makes, models, and years (including push-button start and CAN-bus architectures).
Circuit Testing & Wiring: Accurately identify and test vehicle circuits (constant power, ignition, starter, ground, and triggers) using a digital multimeter (DMM) without damaging factory harnesses.
Trim & Dash Handling: Safely remove and reinstall lower dash panels, kick panels, and steering column trim without cosmetic or mechanical damage.
Calibration & Maintenance: Conduct routine calibration checks, troubleshooting, device servicing, and de-installations according to strict compliance standards.
Client Onboarding: Provide clear, professional instruction and demonstrations to clients on how to properly operate and maintain their interlock devices.
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in 12V automotive electronics (ignition interlock, remote start, car audio, or security system installation).
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to read wiring guides, understand vehicle electrical schematics, and confidently use a digital multimeter.
Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of vehicle trim removal, proper wire-routing, soldering/crimping techniques, and secure relay integration.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous work ethic with a zero-tolerance policy for sloppy wiring or damaged vehicle components.
Requirements: Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check.
Consistent workflow in a specialized shop environment.
