Automotive Alignment, Mount and Balance Technician

Description

Superior Off Road has an immediate opening for an experienced Automotive Alignment, Mount and Balance Technician.

Core Responsibilities:

Wheel Alignment: Measure and adjust camber, caster, toe, and thrust angles to exact manufacturer specifications using computerized alignment machines.
Mount & Balance: Safely remove, mount, and inflate tires onto rims without damaging the wheel. Balance wheels on dynamic machines and apply counterweights to eliminate vibration.
Inspection & Diagnosis: Check steering components, ball joints, struts, and shocks for wear or damage that could prevent a proper alignment.
Test Driving: Safely test vehicles before and after service to verify proper tracking, handling, and the absence of pulling or vibration.
Customer Communication: Advise management or customers of necessary suspension repairs or unusual tire wear patterns.
Safety & Compliance: Properly secure vehicles to lifts and follow strict safety procedures while operating hydraulic jacks and air tools.

Standard Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on experience in tire mounting, balancing, and alignment, or completion of an automotive technical program.
Physical Strength: Ability to safely lift heavy tires and equipment (typically 45 lbs. or more) and stand or bend for extended periods.
