Automotive Body Technician

The Auto Body / Body Prep Technician will be responsible for performing body repairs, prepping vehicles for paint and refinishing work. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality results. Experience is required.

Responsibilities:

Inspect vehicles and assess required bodywork or prep tasks

Repair, remove, straighten, or replace damaged panels and body components
Sand, mask, prime, and prepare surfaces for paint or refinishing
Apply fillers, smooth and shape panels, and prepare vehicles for final finishing
Assist with disassembly and reassembly as needed
Operate body shop tools, sanding equipment, and power tools safely
Work with other technicians to coordinate workflow
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
Handle hazardous materials properly and follow all safety procedures
Document work performed and communicate effectively with management
Qualifications

Previous experience in auto body repair, body prep, or refinishing
Knowledge of sanding, masking, priming, and general bodywork techniques
Ability to use common body shop tools and equipment (or willingness to learn)
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Reliable, punctual, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and handle physically demanding tasks
Valid driver’s license required
