Our mobile Automotive Equipment Installers work directly with customers, installing and servicing the equipment that helps first responders and utility teams perform their critical work safely and efficiently.
We're looking for motivated individuals who enjoy working with their hands, solving problems, and learning new skills. Experience with automotive wiring, electronics, fabrication, or vehicle customization is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Responsibilities:
Remove factory-installed interior and exterior vehicle components
Install emergency vehicle equipment, including light bars, sirens, speakers, push bumpers, partitions, and more
Install cameras, computers, and license plate recognition systems
Perform 12V electrical wiring and system installations
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace
Organize tools and inventory
Qualifications:
Required:
Experience using hand tools and power tools
Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work in/around vehicles
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and on a team
High school diploma or GED
Preferred:
Experience with 12V electrical systems
Ability to read schematics or wiring diagrams
Entry-level candidates with hands-on experience and electrical and mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided.
Driving Requirements:
Valid Ohio driver's license with a clean driving record
Must be insurable under LEHR's commercial vehicle insurance policy
Ability to travel throughout Ohio and operate company vehicles safely
Compensation and Benefits:
Trainee - Lead Technician Level: $19- $22/hour
Full-Time/non-exempt

Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Overtime Required
No weekends
Work Location: Travel throughout Ohio area.
