Description
Pyramid Automotive, the oldest and most trusted automotive machine shop on Florida's West Coast, is seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of the major internal components of automotive engines.
This position offers the opportunity to learn automotive engine machining and rebuilding from the ground up. You'll begin with engine tear-down, inspection, and cleaning of components, then progress into precision machining of engine blocks, cylinder heads, connecting rods, and other major engine components as your skills develop.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Mechanical Aptitude and hands on knowledge of automotive engines and drivetrain components
- Previous machine shop or automotive experience extremely helpful
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Punctual & dependable (Being here every day and on time is key to your success)
- Valid Florida driver’s license & reliable transportation
- Full-time position - Mon-Fri 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. No evenings or weekends.
- Starting Pay of $17 per hour (or higher depending on applicable experience)
- Potential for increased earnings as you progress to working independently
