Description
Arizona Signature Motorsports is seeking a experienced mechanic! We are a established dealership in Arizona with a huge 14,000 sq ft indoor showroom. We are looking for a versatile, adaptable Automotive Mechanic to manage and prepare our used vehicle inventory. Unlike a traditional static shop role, this position offers variety and movement. You will work across multiple settings—including our main dealership, our off-site vehicle storage lot, and both indoor and outdoor work areas. Your primary mission is to inspect, diagnose, and repair newly acquired vehicles to get them frontline-ready safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Work across multiple environments: Perform inspections and quick fixes at our storage lot, and major repairs in the main dealership bays.
- Assess incoming inventory: Conduct thorough multi-point inspections on newly purchased used vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic issues.
- Perform diverse repairs: Handle everything from routine maintenance (brakes, fluids, tires) to deeper engine and electrical diagnostics.
- Adapt to indoor/outdoor conditions: Safely conduct jump-starts, battery swaps, and minor diagnostics outdoors at the storage lot in various weather conditions.
- Coordinate vehicle movement: Help track and manage vehicle status as they move from storage, to reconditioning, to the sales floor.
- Maintain digital records: Log all inspections, parts ordered, and completed repairs using our dealership management software.
- Experience: 3+ years of automotive repair experience, preferably working with a wide variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working independently in non-traditional environments (like an open storage lot) as well as a structured shop.
- License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to move vehicles between locations.
- Tools: Must own a foundational set of personal hand tools (portable tool setup recommended for lot work).Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
