Automotive Mechanic/Technician, $25+ Hourly or $35+ Flat Rate

Overview
We are looking for an experienced automotive mechanic/technician to join our DYNAMIC team!

This is a full-time position working primarily on used-car reconditioning and repairs. We buy and sell a wide variety of vehicles, so you will work on different makes and models and handle everything from basic repairs to diagnostics and larger mechanical jobs.

We are looking for somebody who knows how to work on cars, can diagnose problems correctly, and does not need somebody standing over their shoulder all day.

Pay
We can structure the position either way depending on your experience and preference:

• $25+ per hour hourly
• $35+ per flag hour flat rate

Pay is negotiable based on experience, skill level, and what you can do.

Schedule
Monday through Friday
9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
No weekends

What You'll Be Doing
Most of the work will be getting used vehicles mechanically ready from customer repairs and/or getting them ready for sale, including:

• Diagnosing check-engine lights and drivability problems
• Inspecting newly purchased vehicles
• Test driving vehicles before and after repairs
• Completing repairs correctly and in a reasonable amount of time
• Finding problems before the vehicle goes up for sale
• Brakes
• Steering and suspension
• A/C and heating
• Cooling systems
• Electrical diagnosis and repair
• Engine repairs
• Tune-ups and general maintenance
• Batteries, belts, hoses, fluids, and related repairs

We work on a little bit of everything, so you need to be comfortable working on different makes and models.

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years of professional automotive repair experience
• Must have valid Texas Driver's license
• Must have your own tools
• Must be able to diagnose and repair vehicles without constantly being supervised
• Must be dependable and show up to work on time
• Must be able to troubleshoot a problem instead of just throwing parts at it
• ASE certifications are a plus, but not required
