Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Painter to join our team. The Automotive Painter is responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces, mixing and applying paint, and ensuring a high-quality finish that meets manufacturer and customer standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, maintains a safe work environment, and works efficiently to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning.
Mix paints and coatings to achieve accurate color matches.
Apply primers, base coats, clear coats, and specialty finishes using spray equipment.
Inspect completed work for quality, color consistency, and finish appearance.
Repair minor paint defects such as runs, orange peel, or dust contamination.
Maintain paint booths, spray guns, and related equipment.
Follow manufacturer specifications and company quality standards.
Adhere to all safety procedures regarding hazardous materials and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Collaborate with body technicians, estimators, and other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Qualifications
Previous experience as an Automotive Painter, Auto Body Painter, or similar role preferred.
Knowledge of automotive paint systems, color matching, and refinishing techniques.
Ability to operate paint spray equipment and related tools safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license preferred.
I-CAR, ASE, or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Frequent bending, reaching, and working in confined spaces.
Must be able to wear respiratory protection and other required PPE.
