M Diesel Services isn’t for everyone—and that’s intentional.

We’re a growing, family-owned diesel and automotive repair shop in the PNW, located in Vancouver, WA. Our owner has more than 18 years of real-world automotive and diesel experience and is in the shop every day, working alongside the team.

We’ve built our reputation by doing things the right way. We don’t cut corners, we don’t sell work customers don’t need, and we believe in treating customers and technicians with honesty and respect.

We’re looking for a Service Writer / Service Advisor who can be the bridge between our customers and technicians—someone who understands vehicles, communicates clearly, stays organized, and takes pride in providing an excellent customer experience.

What We’re Looking For

We want someone who:

Has strong automotive knowledge and repair experience

Can communicate repair recommendations clearly to customers
Can accurately write estimates, repair orders, and invoices
Can communicate effectively with technicians
Understands diagnostic and mechanical repair processes
Can explain repairs and maintenance without using unnecessary technical jargon
Is comfortable discussing pricing and obtaining customer authorization
Can prioritize and manage multiple repair orders
Follows up with customers and keeps them informed throughout the repair
Takes responsibility and follows through
Is honest, dependable, and professional
Wants to continue learning and growing
Takes pride in customer service and quality work
Responsibilities
Greet customers and provide a professional, welcoming experience
Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle symptoms
Perform initial vehicle information gathering and service write-ups
Communicate customer concerns to technicians
Review technician findings and recommendations
Build and present accurate estimates
Obtain customer authorization before additional work
Keep customers updated on repair progress, delays, and additional findings
Explain completed repairs and recommendations to customers
Schedule appointments and coordinate workflow with the shop
Maintain accurate repair orders and customer records
Help ensure vehicles are delivered on time and with the work properly documented
Build long-term customer relationships based on trust and honesty
Assist with parts and repair coordination when needed

$60,000–$100,000+ annual income potential
