About the Position

Dieter’s Porsche & BMW Service is looking for an experienced A-Level Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience working on European vehicles and can take on a wide range of diagnostic and repair work. This is an opportunity for an experienced technician who takes pride in doing quality work and wants to work in a professional, established independent shop.

What We’re Looking For

An A-Level technician at Dieter’s should be able to:

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive concerns independently
• Approach difficult diagnostic problems and determine the appropriate repair
• Work confidently with limited supervision
• Think critically and use sound judgment when diagnosing and repairing vehicles
• Handle a variety of mechanical, electrical, drivability, and diagnostic concerns
• Complete assigned work accurately and efficiently
• Maintain strong productivity while maintaining quality workmanship
• Communicate diagnostic findings and repair recommendations clearly with the Service Advisor
• Perform thorough digital vehicle inspections (MPI)
• Perform coding and programming when required
• Follow repair orders and complete work to a high professional standard
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area
• Work as a team while taking ownership of assigned repairs

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional automotive repair experience
• Strong diagnostic and repair experience
• European/German vehicle experience preferred
• Porsche and/or BMW experience strongly preferred
• Ability to independently diagnose and repair vehicles
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and drivability diagnostic skills
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a high level of productivity
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• ASE certifications are a plus
• ASE Master Technician certification is preferred, but not required
• Porsche or other manufacturer-specific training/certifications are a plus
• Professional attitude and strong team mindset

Compensation

$45 - $60 per hour, depending on experience and production

Schedule

Full-time

Monday–Friday
Our shop is closed on weekends.
