Automotive Technician
Automotive Technician
Description
Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
Job description:
At Lyons Auto Center, we're not your average repair shop. We're proud to serve our community, and we take a holistic approach to every vehicle that comes through our doors — treating the entire vehicle as one system built for its purpose: getting our neighbors and their families where they need to be, safely. When you work here, you're not just fixing cars; you're keeping the families in our community safely on the road.
We're looking for an experienced Automotive Technician who can accurately diagnose and repair vehicles the first time, delivering efficient, quality results our customers can depend on.
What You'll Do
Perform accurate, efficient diagnostics on a wide range of makes and models, including driveability, electrical, and emissions-related concerns
Complete repairs correctly the first time, minimizing comebacks and maximizing customer trust
Perform Smog inspections and emissions repairs in compliance with state requirements
Manage your workflow to meet productivity targets without sacrificing quality
Communicate clearly with service advisors, documenting findings, recommendations, and completed work thoroughly
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Build trust with the customers and families in our community through honest, reliable work
What We're Looking For
Minimum 5 years of professional automotive repair experience
Proven diagnostic ability — you find root causes, not just symptoms
Current Smog inspection and repair license (required)
Current ASE certifications (required)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong work ethic with a commitment to efficiency and quality
Must pass a background check
Compensation: $75,000 – $125,000 per year, based on experience, certifications, and productivity.
If you take pride in solving problems right the first time and want to be part of a shop your community depends on, we'd like to meet you.
Work Location: In person
