Automotive Technician / Diagnostic Technician

A Santa Cruz automotive repair facility is expanding and in search of an ASE certified journeyman technician to join our team.

We are a locally owned and operated shop that has been doing business at this location for over 30 years.

Our facility works on all makes and models of light duty vehicles 1996 and newer.
You must be able to diagnose and repair 1996 and newer vehicles.

You must be a good communicator, be organized, have the ability to multitask and be able to keep your area and the shop clean and safe.

Your appearance as well as your ability to communicate clearly and concisely including documenting that communication is a requirement of this position.

Our shop supplies many specialty tools, diagnostic hardware and software (Identifix, Alldata, Mitchell), diagnostic scan tools, labscopes and programing hardware including offsite / virtual support for all of our programming needs.

A qualified candidate will also have their own appropriate tools necessary to diagnose and repair automobiles.

Company pays for all PPE equipment.

This is a Monday thru Friday (8 to 5) position.
7 Paid Holidays per year.
Company buys lunch for the team once a week (currently Thursday), and provides snacks and coffee for team members.
Company supplies all uniforms.

This position will be an addition to our team and you will work alongside other ASE certified diagnostic / repair technicians and with three ASE certified service advisors.

Hourly wage, depending on qualifications + weekly production bonus. 7 paid holidays / year. Health benefits after 60 days. Training paid for by company. ASE fees paid by company (pass or fail). PTO time after 90 days. Company match 401K plan after 1 year (up to 4%).

We are a certified green / paperless shop and this position requires the ability to use a cloud based operating system (Shopware) and we supply a tablet for every technician to use.

Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Bilingual is a plus.
Smog inspector or repair technician is a plus.
