AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN NEEDED
Automotive Technician
Description
This isn't your typical wanted ad. I'm looking for a true B technician. A tech that can handle his own bay. I do digital inspections, diagnostics, repairs and confirmations. That's 90% of what I ask. I don't need you to be perfect, I want you to be honest in your recommendations, I want you to be honest in your repairs. I'm looking for someone that can do digital inspections, diagnostics, repairs and confirm the fix. Unfortunately I'm not looking to hire a C tech that can't diag as much as they'd like at this time.
The shop is a relaxed atmosphere with good vibes and a CD player full of 90s/early 2000s music. Lots of laughter, bad/dad/inappropriate jokes fly freely, training sessions, great food etc. We are right on 75th and Lyndale. We are surrounded by many food places on the same block. Chipotle, Noodles, Broadway, Sarpinoes, DQ, Potbelly's, Asain food and more literally on the same block or across the street. Right off 494 and 35W so travel there and back is easy. I'm open to pay what you are worth as long as you are efficient. If you claim to be worth $40 an hour but turn 25 hours, we will have to sit down again. If you want flat rate because you turn 50 hours weekly, I'm down for that. If you want hourly because you sit consistently at 35 billed hours weekly, let's do it. If you are turning 20 hours a week, I just can't afford that right now. Your benefits can be taylored to you. Wether you are into travel, racing, sports, collectables, opening your own shop, kids college, getting out of dept or whatever it may be, let's build something that gets you your "wants and whys".
I'm into training and I travel all around the country for training, last one was SEMA/AAPEX in Vegas a couple months ago. Next one is Vision in KC again. Next one will probably be in WI at a smaller hands on setup(really looking forward to that one). It's just me and a C tech and it's pretty busy. I'm not perfect and learning a lot but I love this stuff and love the challenge of these cars coming in I just moved to this location 2 years ago from my first spot of 5 years. I'm not the typical dusty old shop with fan belts and bikini posters hanging up, I'm a clean(ish) and dry shop with big doors and good heat. We spend decent on marketing and get good results. We have great reviews on Google and Carfax. I'm just looking for a great B/A tech that maybe wants to grow into a foreman.
