ABOUT THE SHOP

Smog Xotics LLC is a new test-only Smog Check station in Roseville serving Placer County. Clean shop, professional service, no repair upsells. We need a licensed inspector to run the lane and own the customer experience from day one.

DUTIES

• Perform California Smog Check inspections to BAR standards (BAR-OIS / BAR-97)
• Complete certificates, VID entries, and required documentation
• Greet customers, explain results clearly, handle checkout
• Open/close the station; keep shop and equipment inspection-ready
• Follow all BAR and shop procedures — no shortcuts
• Answer phones and schedule. Failed vehicles referred only via BAR station locator (test-only — we do not sell repairs)

REQUIRED

• Current California BAR Smog Check Inspector (EO) license in good standing
• Biometric enrollment complete; authorized to run BAR-OIS
• Valid CA driver’s license and U.S. work authorization
• Clean BAR record (no citations that became final in the last 12 months)
• Comfortable with inspection software and accurate data entry
• Professional customer presence

PREFERRED

• FPR 0.40 or higher and/or STAR-qualified inspector history
• Test-only or STAR station experience in Sacramento / Placer County
• ASE A6, A8, and/or L1
• Window tint and vehicle wrap experience (shop plans to add tint and wrap)

PAY & HOURS
Start date: October 1, 2026. Competitive hourly pay based on license, FPR, and experience. Full-time preferred. Shop hours: Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; Saturday 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Part-time considered.
