About the Role:
Marin Craft specializes in high-end, custom bathroom renovations. We handle everything from demolition and framing to plumbing, electrical, custom tile work, and finish carpentry (drywall and taping/mudding are subbed out).
We are seeking a motivated, hard-working Bathroom Remodeling Specialist Apprentice to work directly alongside the owner/operator. This is a rare hands-on opportunity to learn a lucrative trade from the ground up and build a long-term, rewarding career in Marin County and San Francisco.
What You Will Learn & Perform On-Site:
Clean & Efficient Demolition: Utilizing HEPA dust-extraction tools to maintain a clean and safe job site.
Rough Carpentry: Framing for new layouts, plumbing fixtures, electrical setups, and tile backing.
Basic Plumbing & Electrical: Hands-on experience with rough-ins and finish fixtures (code study required off-site).
Custom Tile Work: From surface preparation and waterproofing to layout, setting, and final grouting.
Finish Carpentry: Detailed trim work, hardware installation, and custom finishing touches.
Painting: Surface prep and final coat application.
Candidate Requirements:
Location: Must live in Marin County or San Francisco.
Transportation: Must have reliable personal transportation.
Work Authorization: Must have a valid SSN and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 60–70 lbs, and comfortably kneel, bend, stand, or sit for extended periods.
Drive & Ambition: Strong willingness to study trade codes/basics in your free time to accelerate your growth on-site.
Professionalism: Positive attitude, strong communication skills, clear professional English, and a clean, presentable appearance.
Site Ethics: Zero tolerance for drugs, alcohol, or smoking. Must maintain a clean, organized job site at all times.
Tools: Basic hand tools are a plus. You will be expected to gradually build your own professional tool set as your skills advance.
Compensation & Opportunity
Starting Pay: $24/hr to start.
Growth: Pay increases as you demonstrate proficiency, increase efficiency, gain code knowledge, and acquire your own basic tool set.
Probation Period: Includes a 2-week probation period to evaluate fit, skill level, and work ethic.
Long-Term Career: Once you establish your skills and can execute projects independently, this position offers high earning potential and job security.
