Bed and Plant Specialist

Johnson County landscaping company has an immediate need for a Landscaping Professional with an emphasis on bed and plant care. This position can be part-time, if preferred.

Must have valid Driver’s License

Preferred skills:

• Experience with grounds maintenance and keeping landscape beds looking their best – weed management, deadheading, seasonal pruning
• Knowledge of basic ornamental plants and trees
• Understanding of bed applications, including ornamental fertilizer and bed pre-emergent

Other skills that would be helpful:

• Experience applying turf applications (no applicator’s license necessary)
• Knowledge of using power equipment – backpack blowers, power pruners, etc.
• Understanding how to clean beds in the fall and winter – leaf cleanup, perennial cutback

The ideal candidate would work directly with the owner to line out work and keep track of client needs. Most properties are high-end residential that require a specific level of TLC.

Some background in landscape design would be helpful. There are opportunities to install landscape plants and change beds as we see fit.

Starting salary - $22/hr
