Description
Upper Valley Upholsterers is looking to add to our team with an energetic, responsible person with some sewing skills who wants to learn the upholstery trade. We are located in Claremont. This is a part time position -- about 25 hours a week - that would work very well for a parent with school-aged children as the hours are 8:30 to 3.
Some sewing skills are essential, as is the ability to work closely and collaboratively in a small team. The work includes tearing down furniture pieces, cutting and sewing fabric, and (working up to) reupholstering work. The work requires some lifting and extended periods of standing and physical activity as we restore chairs and sofas.
