Established fine jewelry store in Union Square area, San Francisco
Part time with 20 - 30 hours per week
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Bench Jeweler to join our team on a consistent part time basis. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys repair work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and wants to work in a professional retail jewelry environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform ring sizing.
Complete jewelry repairs including chain repairs, clasp repairs and replacements, jump ring repairs, and other basic jewelry repairs.
Polish and refinish jewelry.
Perform rhodium plating.
Clean and inspect jewelry before customer delivery.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workbench.
Perform final quality inspections to ensure all repairs meet our quality standards.
Qualifications
Required:
Jewelry trade school graduate or equivalent bench experience.
Experience performing basic jewelry repairs.
Strong polishing and finishing skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Dependable, organized, and professional.
Preferred:
Experience with a jewelry laser welder is beneficial, but we are happy to train the right candidate.
Ability to independently perform ring sizing.
Experience with rhodium plating.
Experience working with gold, platinum, and silver.
Previous retail jewelry repair experience.
Pearl stringing experience is a plus.
Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
Consistent schedule of approximately 20 - 30 hours per week (Tuesday - Thursday).
