Description
A bilingual stucco laborer assists tradespeople with exterior plastering and construction tasks while using English and Spanish to bridge communication gaps on site. Responsibilities include mixing materials, preparing surfaces, erecting scaffolding, and translating safety instructions or technical information for the crew.Core ResponsibilitiesStucco Application Support: Mix plaster and stucco materials, carry mortar, and assist in applying base, brown, and finish coats.Site Prep & Clean-Up: Prepare surfaces (cleaning, wetting, applying bonding agents), set up scaffolding, and clean the work area upon job completion.Bilingual Communication: Translate daily instructions, blueprints, and safety procedures between English-speaking supervisors and Spanish-speaking crew members.Material Management: Load, unload, and transport building materials and tools to and from the work site.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA and company safety rules, wear appropriate PPE, and help communicate safety hazards to the team.Required Qualifications & SkillsLanguage Skills: Fluent in both English and Spanish (verbal and written) with the ability to accurately translate construction and safety terms.Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, work outdoors in various weather, and climb scaffolding.Construction Experience: Previous hands-on experience on a construction or masonry site.Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with hand tools (trowels, hawks, floats) and power equipment (mixers, sprayers) used in stucco.
