Boat Yard Technician

Rumery's Boat Yard is always on the lookout for talented individuals with particular experience and skill in boat handling, rigging, varnish and finish work, carpentry, and mechanical work for Diesel and Gas engines. Located right on the Saco River close to downtown Biddeford.

The ideal candidate should be familiar with both power and sailboats, have an understanding of basic boating terms, lift up to 50 lbs, be comfortable using power tools as well have their own hand tools.

Based on experience and ability, duties will include bottom sanding and painting, buffing and waxing, assist with launching and hauling boats, commissioning and decommissioning, stepping and un-stepping masts, yard organizing moving boat stands and blocking.

Experience is required, ABYC certified is a big plus. We are a smoke free shop that offers paid time off, holiday pay, retirement plan, health insurance reimbursement and more.
