Body Shop Helper
Description
We are looking for an experienced, motivated automotive collision professional to join our team.
We are seeking a qualified candidate with hands-on experience using CCC estimating software, strong knowledge of the collision repair process, and the ability to confidently work with insurance companies, customers, and technicians.
We are looking for a professional who can manage the repair process from estimate to completion, communicate effectively with everyone involved
Responsibilities
Create accurate and thorough collision repair estimates using CCC estimating software
Work directly with insurance companies and adjusters to negotiate and approve repairs
Communicate professionally with customers and keep them informed throughout the repair process
Review vehicle damage and develop proper estimates
Coordinate with technicians working on customer vehicles
Monitor repair progress and make sure vehicles are repaired properly and efficiently
Communicate with technicians regarding repair procedures, parts, and supplements
Handle supplements and communicate additional damage to insurance companies
Help ensure repairs are completed according to manufacturer and industry standards
Maintain accurate documentation and estimates
Keep customers, insurance companies, and technicians informed of the vehicle's status
Help manage workflow
Provide excellent customer service
Qualifications
Previous professional experience in automotive collision repair is required
Strong knowledge of CCC estimating software
Experience writing collision repair estimates and supplements
Experience working directly with insurance companies and insurance adjusters
Strong knowledge of collision repair procedures and vehicle damage
Previous experience coordinating or managing automotive technicians
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple vehicles and repair orders at the same time
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently
Must be dependable, professional, and able to work in a shop environment
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who understands the collision repair process, not just writing an estimating. You should be comfortable sitting down with a customer, working with an insurance adjuster, writing a complete estimate, communicating with technicians, handling supplements, and making sure the vehicle gets through the shop correctly and efficiently.
If you have a strong knowledge of CCC estimating, understand insurance claims, know how to work with customers, and have the ability to communicate with technicians we want to hear from you.
Must be Licensed in Pennsylvania
License/Certification:
Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Damage Appraiser license
