Established Arlington remodeling and custom cabinetry company is hiring one full-time Cabinet Finisher / Lead Paint Tech.
Arlington / Tarrant County
Full-Time W-2 Position
$25–$28+ per hour, depending on experience and tools
Monday–Friday | Approx. 40 hours/week
We are looking for one experienced painter/finisher to join our team full-time.
This is not subcontract work, and we are not looking for a crew or painting company. We are hiring an individual W-2 employee who wants steady work and can take ownership of our cabinet finishing and paint production.
The position is approximately 75% shop work and 25% residential job-site work around Arlington and Tarrant County.
Primary responsibilities include:
Sanding and preparing MDF, HDF, plywood, cabinet parts, doors, and drawer fronts
Filling imperfections, seams, machining marks, and surface defects
Cabinet refinishing prep
Priming and applying waterborne coatings
Fine-finish spraying with an airless sprayer
Brush and roller application when needed
Masking and protecting residential job sites
Setting up and breaking down temporary spray containment
Cleaning and maintaining sprayers, guns, hoses, filters, and sanding equipment
Keeping the finishing area clean, organized, and ready for production
Inspecting your own work and correcting defects before it moves forward
Removing, labeling, and reinstalling cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and hardware when needed
Requirements
2+ years of professional painting experience
Must understand how to set up, operate, break down, and properly clean an airless sprayer
Professional sanding and surface-prep experience
Brush and roller experience
Valid driver’s license
Reliable transportation
Able to lift approximately 50 lbs and perform normal painting/remodeling work
Comfortable working independently without constant supervision
Detail-oriented, dependable, organized, and able to solve problems
Cabinet finishing experience is preferred, but a strong residential or commercial painter with good fine-finish skills is absolutely worth talking to.

We provide the primary equipment needed for the position, but candidates who bring strong experience and useful professional tools may qualify for higher compensation and responsibility.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, approximately 7:30/8:00 AM to 4:00/4:30 PM.
Saturday work is generally not required, although occasional voluntary Saturday hours may be available when workload supports it.
Selected applicants may be asked to complete a paid hands-on skills test involving prep, spraying, cleanup, and finish inspection.
