Cabinet Installer / Finish Carpenter
Description
We're looking for experienced cabinet installers to join our growing team. We're currently adding team members that specialize in cabinet refacing, closets, garage storage, shelving systems, and other home organization projects. We’re looking for professionals who take pride in quality craftsmanship, communicate well with customers, and consistently deliver clean, high-quality installations.
Responsibilities
- Install custom closets, garage storage systems, shelving, and cabinet refacing materials
- Read installation plans, layouts, and manufacturer specifications
- Inspect, verify, and accept materials delivered to the jobsite
- Protect customer homes using floor protection, drop cloths, and dust control practices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
- Identify installation issues before they become problems and communicate them promptly
- Complete punch-list items and final customer walkthroughs
- Take required jobsite photos and complete project documentation through our mobile app
- Represent our company professionally with customers, delivery teams, and retail partners
- 5+ years of cabinet and storage installation experience preferred
- Must provide photos or a portfolio of previous cabinet installation or cabinet refacing work. Applicants without examples of prior work may not be considered.
- Experience installing kitchen cabinets, closets, garage storage, shelving, or similar products
- Experience with cabinet refacing is a plus
- Reliable transportation to jobsites throughout the NYC area
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in residential environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to pass background checks and partner badging requirements
- Own basic installation tools (e.g., drill, impact driver, levels, clamps, laser, etc.)
- Experience with IKEA, ClosetMaid, Elfa, California Closets, or similar systems
- Ability to scribe fillers and trim panels for a finished appearance
- Experience installing crown molding, toe kicks, fillers, end panels, and hardware
- Comfortable using laser levels and layout tools
- Experience working in occupied residential homes
- Driver license nice to have
